Information from Your Shopify Account

When you install the App, we are automatically able to access certain types of information from your Shopify account:

Information We Collect Directly

Additionally, we collect the following types of personal information once you have installed the App:

Merchant Account Information:

• Your Shopify store domain
• Account authentication tokens (securely stored)
• Subscription and billing information
• Trial period dates

Video Content:

• Videos you upload directly to the App
• Video metadata (title, description, duration, dimensions, file size)
• Thumbnail images
• Videos imported from connected social media accounts

Product Information:

• Product IDs, titles, and handles
• Product images and variant information
• Video-to-product associations you create

Social Media Connections (Optional):

When you choose to connect TikTok or Instagram accounts:

• OAuth access tokens and refresh tokens (encrypted)
• Platform user ID and username
• Display name and profile picture URL
• Social media video metadata (likes, views, comments, captions, hashtags)

Information Collected About Your Store Visitors

When videos are displayed on your storefront, we collect aggregated analytics about viewers through our video hosting provider (Mux):

• Total video views and unique viewer counts
• Watch time and engagement metrics
• Geographic location (country-level only)
• Device type (mobile, desktop, tablet)
• Video player events (play, pause, seek)

How We Collect Information

We collect information through the following methods:

Shopify Integration:

• Through your Shopify account via authorized API access
• Through Shopify's secure session management

Direct Input:

• Videos you upload through the App interface
• Information you provide when connecting social media accounts
• Feed and product associations you configure

Third-Party Analytics:

• Video analytics collected by Mux's video infrastructure
• Mux uses cookies and similar technologies to track video playback metrics on your storefront

How We Use Your Personal Information

We use the personal information we collect from you in order to:

• Link videos with your Shopify products
• Create and manage video feeds
• Display video widgets on your store

Data Retention

Video Content and Metadata:

• Retained while your App is installed and active
• Deleted within 48 hours after App uninstallation

Analytics Data:

• Cached for 1 hour before refreshing from source
• 30-day rolling window for detailed analytics
• Deleted upon App uninstallation

Social Media Connections:

• OAuth tokens retained while connection is active
• Deleted when you disconnect the account or uninstall the App

Session Data:

• Deleted immediately upon App uninstallation

You have the right to:

• Access the personal information we hold about you
• Request correction of inaccurate information
• Request deletion of your information
• Disconnect social media accounts at any time
• Uninstall the App to trigger data deletion

The App implements Shopify's mandatory compliance webhooks:

• Customer Data Request: We respond to merchant requests for customer data
• Customer Redact: We delete customer data upon request
• Shop Redact: We delete all shop data within 48 hours of App uninstallation

Children's Privacy

The App is not intended for use by children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
